Description
PLEMCAT will be a testing laboratory for the advancement and validation of floating wind, marine energies, and other related technical activities. It aims to become an Observatory for Climate Change, biodiversity, and environmental monitoring of the Mediterranean. Its purpose is to facilitate research and ensure proper implementation at all stages of the development of a floating offshore wind system and other marine energy technologies.

- Prototypes: 3 floating wind turbines with a maximum height of 261 meters and a power output of up to 15 MW each, totaling up to 30 MW.
- Seafloor footprint: Anchoring radius of 800 meters for two prototypes and 450 meters for the third prototype.
- PLEMCAT Floating Buoy: Diameter of 18.1 meters and height of 12.6 meters (5 meters submerged, 7.6 meters floating) with an anchoring radius of 450 meters.
- Location: Bay of Roses (Girona), 25 km off the coast of Sant Pere Pescador.
